With the help of a StagesStudio system administrator, clubs can create a cycle studio or fitness floor to handle all their class offerings using StagesStudio Pro or Pro+. For assistance with your cycle studio or fitness floor, please contact stagesstudiohelp@stagescycling.com.

Your StagesStudio cycle studio and fitness floor overview:

  1. Log in to StagesCloud.com using your Club Admin credentials.
  2. Scroll down the left-hand side menu and click on ROOMS under ADMIN.
  3. Select your club name from the drop-down menu.
  4. Locate the room you want to manage, and click on DETAILS.
  5. Four tabs appear on the left-hand side of the screen: GENERAL, ROOM TYPE, SCREENS, and BIKES. If you have opened the details for a fitness floor, the BIKES tab is not visible.

GENERAL

This tab contains information about the cycle studio or fitness floor and the associated hardware and software. Your StagesStudio administrator will set up the following fields for you.

  • Room name: the name given to the room.
  • Wasp collector hostname: the name of the computer/jetbridge that acts as a bridge between the StagesStudio servers and the facilities equipment. This name will be the same as the Device name in the SCREENS tab.
  • Integration: the integration software (MindBody, zingfit, and FitMetrix) used at the club if any.

ROOM TYPE

Options for the room type are cycle studio or fitness floor. This is set by the StagesStudio administrator.

SCREENS

This tab contains information about the screen(s) set up in the room. The StagesStudio administrator will set up the following fields to ensure the software and hardware communicate correctly.

  • Name: the name assigned to each screen in the room.
  • Device name: the name of the computer/jetbridge controlling the screen(s) in the room. The same as the Wasp collector hostname.
  • Display: the HDMI port selection for each screen, allowing two screens to be run by one computer/jetbridge.

  • Rows and columns: the screen configuration of the bike gauges seen on the screen(s). This should match the grid configuration of your cycle studio. Note: The grid configuration and the screen configuration have different functions in your cycle studio. The grid configuration is the physical location of the bikes in the cycle studio. The screen configuration is the location of the bike gauges on the studio screen. Arrange the gauges on the screen for optimum visibility for each rider. Place gauges for riders in the front row of class at the bottom of the screen; so riders don't have to look up to see their gauges. Place gauges for riders in the back row of class at the top of the screen; so their gauges are visible above the riders in front of them.

BIKES

In this tab, the Club Admin will set up and manage the bikes in the cycle studio including, numbering each bike, adding ANT+ IDs, and setting the grid configuration and screen configuration. To configure the bikes in your cycle studio, see the related article: How to add bikes to the cycle studio and configure the screen
